Searching for additional information on my great- great-grandfather, Charles M. BROADWATER. He was born October 10, 1827 in South Carolina and moved to the Russell County area sometime around 1850 or earlier. He died October 5, 1884. He was married to Bunnetta GRAY(May 2, 1834 - June 1, 1918) on October 12, 1854. I am trying to find when he may have moved to Russell County since I want to find his ancestors in South Carolina. Reverend SOLOMON'S parents were John SOLOMON d.b.3/Jan./1797 in North Carolina, he married Rebecca STURDIVANT(1802-1882), 1820 in Twiggs County Georgia.John SOLOMON andhis wife are buried in Clopton Alabama,Reverend SOLOMON'S father died 13/May/1879 in Clopton. Reverend SOLOMON was born 27/Jun./1822 in Twiggs County Georgia. He married Elizabeth jane Covington 16/May/1849 in Barnesville Pike County Georgia. After their marriage they settled in town of Seale Alabama, where they spent the remainder of their lives. The following children were born to them in Seale. Corinne SOLOMON 1851 m: Joseph WILKINSON died in Texas, Henry SOLOMON 1853, John Thomas d.b.1855 m: Laura Emma PRICE(1859-1951) 1879, d.d. 1902 Headland Alabama. He died in Seale Alabama 16/May/1901. He isburied inSeale andhis grave ismarked by the James Caplap Chapter U.D.C. He was supposed to have been a Confederate Chaplain. His wife Elizabeth Jane was born 10/Aug./1834 in Pike County Georgia. She died 29/Jan./1929 in Montgomery Alabama, she also is buried next to her husband.
