EMFINGER Searching for records and info on all descendants of the EMFINGER family of Coosa Co. This family is descended from the INFINGER family of Dorchester Co., SC. and Henry EMFINGER who moved from SC to Chambers Co., AL in 1835, then to Russell Co. John, Clement, David, and Susannah WALKER are believed to be the children of William WALKER and Elizabeth WYNNE (who lived in the Greene Co., GA area). **(1) John WALKER (abt 1790-1843) married Mary R. "Polly" CHAPPELL TYUS (widow of Joshua TYUS) in Hancock Co, GA in 1821. Ch: Robert M. WALKER; William C. WALKER; James E. WALKER; Elizabeth WALKER; Sarah M. WALKER; Clement W. WALKER; Joseph C. WALKER. John WALKER died in Henry Co.,GA. **(2) Clement WALKER (1800- 1872) married Clary Wooten CATO in Hancock Co., GA in 1828. Ch: James Phillips WALKER; John R. WALKER **(3) David WALKER (b. Looking for info on Margaret L. (Lou, or Lulu) BULLINGTON, my ggrandmother. According to 1900 census in Lamar Co., TX, she was born in 1854 in AL, father born in NC, mother in SC. Family pictures say she was from Russell County, and was probably at least part Native American (family legend was Cherokee). Her marriage to Tinie J. (or Terry Joe) Benson was recorded in Washington Co., MS "colored" marriage records. Have reached a dead end, and would appreciate any clues.

I am searching for infromation about the ARRANT family of Russell Co. I have heard that there was an article in the " History of Russel Co.,Al." giving sone details about Peter Arrant,son, Conrad Arrant, and grandson Reddick Arrant. I have one other name James Polk ARRANT who is either Reddick's brother or his son. The Arrant family should be in Russel Co. around1740 or 1750. Can you help me?

George D. BOOKER was born in Phenix City on December 7, 1899. He was the adopted father of my mother and aunt while living in Portland, Oregon in the 1940s. While not a blood relative, he was always "grandpa" to me. Would appreciate news from any living relatives or parallel lines. I'd like to honor George by making sure he has a place in the family tree.

I am searching for any information on Drew Americus LAWRENCE and his wife Ida WILLIAMS Lawrence. I am also seeking information on any of their thirteen children. The children's names that I have are Tommy, Drew, Tim, Minnie, Monnie, Warnie, Claudia, Martha, Lewis and Lucille. Lewis and Lucille were twins who died in infancy. Tim Pierce Lawrence married Doris RAY. They are my grandparents. Minnie Bernadette Lawrence married William TEMPLES. Warnie Lawrence married Wilson GRIGGS. Monnie Lawrence married a SANDEFUR. Claudia Lawrence married a WILLIAMSON. Drew Americus Lawrence, Jr. married three times. I am also seeking any and all information on Romulus Pendleton RAY and his wife, Lucy Eliza HALL and any of their descendants. All of the above, with the exception of Lucy Eliza Hall Ray are buried in Girard Cemetery off Sandfort Road in Phenix City. Lucy Eliza Hall Ray and her sister, Martha Clementine Hall Ray married men who were brothers. I am looking for any information on anyone connected with these families.

Seeking information on Thomas F. SELLERS and Nancy T.THREADGILL. They were married in Russell Co. in 1838 and were living there in 1860 according to the census. Who was Thomas' parents? Nancy's parents were William Threadgill and Nancy Smith. Both Thomas and Nancy were born in North Carolina. Some of their children were Elisha Thomas, William, Amanda, Mathilda, Aletha(Letha) and Riley.

I am looking for information on the DAVIS family that lived in Glennville, Russell Co., AL. My Grandfather was William Henry DAVIS who was married to Mary Ina BURT. William's father was John Gardner DAVIS who was married to Sara Louisa OWENS, the daughter of Rev. James Nehemiah OWENS. John's father was Gardner Henry DAVIS, who was married to Mary Martha TRICE. Gardner's father was John Gardner DAVIS who came from VA to NC to GA to Alabama. At one time, in Glennville, AL. At one time, the settlement was known as Davisville, possibly because the eleven Davis children settled within walking distance of one another. I am looking for information on the Barna IVEY family from Glennville, Russell Co., AL. Barna IVEY born in Lenoir Co., NC where he was married to Alcy Ann DAVIS, the daughter of Malachi DAVIS. The Barna IVEY plantation house is still standing in Glennville's historical district, and is beautiful. I understand that several of Barna and Alcy Ann's children stayed in the general area and that there are now great great grandchildren living in the area.
