Looking for any information on the parents and grandparents of Hosea ALLEN (b: 14 Oct 1901 - d: 2 Sep 1996). His parents are Glenn ALLEN, Jr and Matilda TALLY (TALLEY); grandparents are Glenn ALLEN, Sr and Mattie MELTON. It is believed that Hosea had 11 brothers and sisters, all raised on a farm in or around Auburn, Lee Co., AL. It is also believed the town of Glen Allen, Fayette Co., AL is named after ALLEN, Sr.

He moved to Sunflower Co., MS about 1906. His father, John Wesley Scipper, Sr. listed in 1870 and 1880 Lee Co., AL census b. c.1838/1841, probably GA.

I have traced my Great Grand Mother to Lee county. Her name was Pocahontus A. Greene. She was married to Melvin V. Carrol in Lee County on December 4th, 1876. Her father's name is just listed as John Greene, they were married at John Greene's home.I have researched the census records at the local library, but can't find a John Greene or Pocahontus Greene.

I am looking for any and all information on my great grandfather, David James Trott. He was born on July 22,1884 in Pullman, Illinois. He joined the United States Navy on September 13, 1907, as a machinist's mate 2nd class in Chattanooga and was transferred to the USS Franklin on the same date. On October 28, 1907 he was transferred to USS Virginia. His military id # was 157-39-92. This is all the information I have. If someone could even give me some direction it would be appreciated.

Looking for relatives of M. S. Posey. Married to Della. Both from Alabama. Doctor. Had at least one son named Montague Venson Mansfield Posey, born in Birmingham, Alabama around 1852. He married Sarah Webb (born 1848) around 1870. They moved to Texas where my mother-in-law's mother was born. Need any information. He may have lived in Tuplian or was married there. No information available other than guesswork.
