I am interested in information on Edith Louise HUTSON's ancestors. She was born on 04/25/1915 in Red River County. She died on 08/03/1968 in Mt. Vernon, TX. Her parents names were C.M. HUTSON and Lillie SKELTON.

Seeking info on Levastus McKinney LEE (aka Bass LEE, Vas LEE, L. M. LEE). Born in Johnston Co., NC 1843. To McNairy Co., TN with parents ca1844, to Franklin Co., AR ca 1857. Served in Union Army, 1 ARK CAV. Later, came to TX. In Red River Co.-1900 census, Fannin Co.-1910 census. Children include Alice, Calvin, Nora, Bettie, Elizabeth, McKinnon L., Mandy, Francis M., Lowery, and Martha. Nephews William T. LEE, Monroe LEE, and Charlie C. LEE were also in northeast TX at one time or another (Mt. Vernon, Mt. Pleasant, Winnsboro areas).

Thomas C. BOWEN b. 2 Dec 1833 AL. and wife Loveann DESMOND 1839- Feb. 1904; were in Bosque Co. on 1880 cen. This is the last census I can find son's John D. BOWEN 1867 Franklin Co.TX. and William Marion BOWEN 1871 Hopkins Co. Both may of died in Bosque Co.? In 1885 family is in Eraph Co. 1886 in Brown Co. Can not locate T.C. BOWEN in TX. cen. 1860 yet he should be there. Looking for other Alabama to Texas Bowen's. Thank you

Searching for J.K. NAREMORE (also NARRAMORE), b. c. 1845 Hall County Georgia, moved to TX c. 1853, and to Titus c. 1863. m. Anna (surname unknown) 1904. and d. 1918. bur Gray Rock cemetery, Franklin county.

Seeking information on the families of ROBERTS and CHRISTIAN, and auxillary families of BINGHAM and MCCOLLUM. William Perry ROBERTS taught school in Mt. Vernon and Saltillo in the late 1800's and early 1900's. His sister, Mrs. Frank BINGHAM also taught school in Saltillo. Nannie ROBERTS, the daughter of William ROBERTS married Albert CHRISTIAN, the son of Edward L. CHRISTIAN and Mattie MCCOLLUM of Mt. Vernon. I will share information with anyone researching these families.

Looking for burial place for Joanna KUYKENDALL who died March 26, 1866 in Titus or Franklin County. She was the wife of John Gabrial "Shortarm" KUYKENDALL. She apparently died giving birth to their daughter Lucy so the death date may or may not be correct.

WORKMAN / VICK / JOHNSON Seeking Information on Matthew Anthony WORKMAN b. 1873 in Montgomery Co., TN and wife Drilma VICK b. Apr. 21, 1884 in Montgomery Co., TN. Drilma died on Mar. 15, 1986 in Franklin Co, TX. Matthew and Drilma lived in Delta Co., TX for some time. Children: Zettie May Workman-Smith b. abt. 1906 and Thetis Cleo Workman b. abt. 1909. Also seeking information on J. Walter JOHNSON and wife Hattie Vick.

Surnames MCCOLLUM and CHRISTIAN. Researching MATTIE (MARIAH OR MARIA) MCCOLLUM who married EDWARD L. CHRISTIAN. They settled in the East Texas area prior to the Civil War. Other members of the MCCOLLUM family and CHRISTIAN family came to East Texas at this time. Part of the time, the family lived in Franklin County.

Looking for any tidbit of information about Lucy Preston SANDERS, born 17 June 1871, or her husband James Alton "Jim" ASHBY, who was born 10 August 1864. Her Bible appears to say they were married 11 Feb 1885 in Franklin County. One or both may have lived at Nacogdoches at one time. They later lived in Mason, Menard, and Williamson counties. Lucy's father was Lloyd Preston SANDERS.

Mary Ruth "Ruthie" SPARKS, b. 1873, TX, married Leonidas Robert "Lee" KING, b. TX, 1872. Ruthie SPARKS was the daughter of William SPARKS, b. TX, and Martha Jane CALDWELL, birthplace unknown. Need information on the families of William SPARKS and Martha Jane CALDWELL.

Calvin KING, b. 1823, NC, married 1855 in Harrison County, TX, Cora LIPSCOMB, b. 1836, AL. Calvin's father is given as John KING in a family Bible, but no additional information has been discovered.

Looking for information on William Isaac CONNALLY 1862-1935 and his wife Malinda Aminda WALL 1864-1946. William was the son of William Leroy CONNALLY who was the son of Drewry Moore CONNALLY. These families lived in Franklin Co. and in nearby Winnsboro in Wood Co.

Looking for information about great-grandmother LAURA SPARKS. She was born in 1868 in Arkansas, possibly Horatio. She met JOHN KING, and they moved to Oklahoma and then to Texas. She died in Mt. Vernon, TX in 1936 and he died in Majors in 1929.
